The Global Block List feature of pipl.ai can be your superhero feature 🦸🏻 as it brings you the ultimate ease and efficiency in filtering the leads data when imported or added manually to a campaign. Why?
Well, there might be domains that you want to block entirely from your campaigns or there might be specific email addresses that you don’t want to reach out to. But, when you import lead data in bulk, screening through each email entry could be a nightmare as the list could go onto thousands of email addresses.
For example, you want to block all the email addresses that belong to your competitor’s domain. In this case, you would simply block the entire domain. And, in other cases, where you want to block a specific person, you will simply add their email address to the block list. You can achieve this using the Global Block List in pipl.ai.
Example
1. Blocking all the leads on a particular domain: yourcompetitor.com
2. Blocking a specific email account: [email protected]
How it works?
1. When you import new leads using CSV or manually enter a lead to your campaign, the system checks them against the blocklist. If the lead being imported/added is found in the blocklist, the system does not add it to your campaign and generates an error as demonstrated in the image shared below.
2. If a lead is already imported into any campaign, the Global Block List will automatically prevent emails from being sent to them if they are added to the blocklist afterward.
👉 The same goes for the domain entries as well. If you've added a domain to the Global Block List, the following will happen:
The leads with the specific domain will not be imported/added to the system.
The system will stop the emails to leads with the same domain in all of your active campaigns.
How to block domains/email accounts?
1. Go to Settings in your pipl.ai account.
2. Navigate to the Global Block List tab.
3. Click on the Add New button.
4. On the Global Block List popup, enter the domain or email address that you want to block from being imported into your campaigns, and also from sending them future emails if they are already added to your campaigns.
❗If you are adding more than one domain/email account, use a comma to separate them.
❗In the block list, you can add multiple domains and email accounts, separated by commas, at the same time.
5. Click on the Save button once you have entered the domains/email accounts that you don’t want to reach out to in your campaigns.
In case you have entered a duplicate lead/domain, don’t worry, the pipl.ai system is smart enough to keep the list clean and not create duplicate entries in the system.
6. Upon clicking the Save button, the unwanted leads/domains will be added to the Global Block List, and a success notification will appear at the top of the screen.
🚫Now, the leads/ domains you have added to this list will be blocked entirely from all of your campaigns in the same workspace.
Unblocking a lead/domain
👉 You can always undo this action by deleting the lead/domain from the Global Block List.
Follow these steps to revert your action if you have changed your mind about blocking a lead/domain or if the lead/domain was accidentally blocked.
1. Checkmark the lead/domain. You can bulk-check the leads/domains.
2. Click the Delete Selected button.
3. On the Confirm Removal popup, click the “Yes, delete!” button.
4. The selected lead(s)/domain(s) will be removed from the Global Block List.
👉 Now, you are free to import these unblocked leads or the leads on the unblocked domain without any errors. If they were already imported/added into an active campaign, emails will be sent to them successfully!
In a nutshell, your Global Block List can save you time as well as liberates you from performing the mundane task of manually screening the leads at the time of importing them into your campaigns! So, let your pipl.ai account settings go global with your blocking efforts! ⚙️ 🚀
